From gentle cuddle bugs to professional snack inspectors, these are the little wheeks that fill our days with laughter, chaos, and far more hay than we ever thought possible.
Lulu Evangeline💛
The Quiet Queen
Lulu is somehow able to stay in charge without being overly bossy about it. She’ll be turning 3 this year, although she already carries herself with the confidence and authority of a much older piggy.
These days, Lulu spends her time with her sister Elsie, and the two have become quite the inseparable duo.
Together they make up a surprisingly calm and chill pair of girls… most of the time.
Lulu previously shared a passion for cardboard renovation projects with her friend Misty and firmly believes every cardboard hide should eventually become an open-plan design. These days, she continues to supervise all construction projects, whether anyone asked her to or not.
Her dream meal is a lettuce, fennel & strawberry salad, and she thinks chin scratches and tummy rubs should be available on request at all times.
Despite being the boss, Lulu is incredibly affectionate and loves to nuzzle up to her hoomans and give tiny piggy kisses 💛

Elsie Bingus💛
The Quirky Snack Goblin
Elsie Bingus is Lulu’s sister and fully embraces her role as the slightly chaotic sibling of the pair. She’ll also be turning 3 this year, although maturity is still very much a work in progress.
While the girls are usually a pretty calm little duo, Elsie and Lulu definitely have the occasional sister squabble over important matters, usually involving food or personal space.
One of Elsie’s favourite activities is pancaking dramatically inside her beloved hidey, “The Rainbow Bridge,” where she can relax after a long day of snack-related business.
She’s incredibly affectionate, loves chatting to her hoomans, and has a very special talent for burying herself directly into the forage blend bowl while carrying on full conversations at the same time. It’s usually very obvious when Elsie has been snacking because she somehow manages to get forage, hay, and food crumbs all over her face, and occasionally in places that really don’t make much sense at all.
These days, Elsie spends most of her time with Lulu, and the two sisters can usually be found sharing snacks, inspecting cardboard real estate, or pretending they weren't involved in whatever mischief just happened.
Elsie absolutely LOVES her food, especially hay, celery leaves, and literally any kind of fruit. In fact, sometimes we suspect she may love snacks even more than her favourite hooman, her dad, Sam.
And yes… Sam is also fully responsible for the name “Elsie Bingus.” Why? Because according to him, she’s just a little bit quirky, much like her hooman 💛

Dot 💛
The Hay Tunnel Architect
Dot is the oldest girl at Our Little Wheeks and will be turning 6 this year. She’s a gentle old soul with just the tiniest touch of drama queen energy… especially when nail trimming is involved.
In Dot’s opinion, nail clipping is a deeply unfair and highly traumatic experience, and she makes absolutely sure everybody within a five kilometre radius knows about it.
Outside of her occasional dramatic protests, Dot is incredibly sweet and spends most of her time exactly where she’s happiest, buried deep inside the hay pile. She takes hay tunnel construction very seriously and can often be found quietly spying on her hoomans from inside her carefully engineered hay hideys.
Unfortunately, this also means being removed from the hay pile is completely unacceptable behaviour. Dot squeals like a toddler being carried away from the playground every single time she has to leave her beloved hay fortress.
Life has looked a little different for Dot since losing her best friend, Misty.
While she'll always be part of Dot's story, these days Dot can usually be found working on her hay tunnel empire with Sonny living next door and keeping a watchful eye on the neighbourhood.
As it turns out, hay, snacks, and a slightly annoying neighbour are all excellent ingredients for a happy retirement. 💛
Her favourite treats are corn husks and watermelon, although honestly she’d probably be perfectly content living inside a mountain of hay forever 💛

💛 In Loving Memory of Misty Jane💛
In May 2026, we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl after a long battle with health issues.
Misty was the gentlest little soul and is deeply missed by her family and her herd, especially Dot, who spent many years by her side.
If love alone could have saved her, she would have lived forever.
While her favourite fleece tunnel now sits empty, her pawprints remain all throughout Our Little Wheeks, in every cardboard hidey that needs renovating, every senior piggy nap, and every little reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things.
Forever loved. Forever missed. 💛
Misty Jane 💛
The Gentle Little Old Soul
Misty Jane is one of the older girls of the OG herd and will also be turning 6 this year. She is the sweetest, gentlest, quietest little soul you could ever hope to meet, and truly doesn’t seem to have a single mean bone in her body.
Since coming to stay with us, Misty has had a rough time health-wise as a senior piggy, but through it all she continues to persevere with the softest little spirit and the sweetest attitude toward life.
When she’s feeling well, Misty loves helping Lulu remodel cardboard houses and fully supports the idea that every hidey should eventually become an open-plan design.
If she’s not busy with renovation duties, she can usually be found curled up inside her favourite fleece tunnel enjoying a very well-earned senior piggy nap.
Her favourite foods are banana and lettuce, although she’s happiest simply being surrounded by soft blankets, hay, and the company of her herd 💛

Sonny 💛
The Human Trapped in a Guinea Pig's Body
Sonny is just over 1 year old and, quite frankly, seems to be under the impression that he's a human. While most guinea pigs spend their time trying to fit in with other piggies, Sonny appears far more interested in spending time with his people.
Many people also know him as Spider Pig, a nickname given to him by the couple who ran the refuge. Before coming to live with us, Sonny spent quite some time at the refuge after being found abandoned in a local park. As a younger piggy, he had a habit of climbing absolutely everything in sight and seemed determined to explore his cage from every possible angle.
These days he's a little bigger and can't quite scale the heights he once could, although he'll happily use his beloved stuffed kangaroo, Jessica, as a step ladder when required. Despite retiring from most of his climbing adventures, he'll always be Spider Pig to those who knew him back then.
In fact, he often gets along better with humans than guinea pigs and is happiest when he's involved in whatever his family is doing. Whether it's watching television with his Dad or supervising household activities from a cozy spot nearby, Sonny likes to feel included.
When he's not busy being an honorary human, Sonny can usually be found hiding in his hay pile, relaxing in his cardboard house, or snuggled up with his favourite companion, a stuffed kangaroo named Jessica.
Sonny is a boy who knows exactly what he likes and exactly how he likes to be petted. He can be quite particular about cuddle time and isn't afraid to offer a gentle nibble if he feels his personal preferences aren't being respected.
Food is one of Sonny's greatest loves in life. He'll happily eat almost any vegetable offered to him, although fruit doesn't really impress him. Sonny firmly believes that good snacks should never be wasted and leaves no snack behind.
When vegetables are being prepared, Sonny wastes no time sounding the alarm. He loves to wheek loudly, often getting all the other piggies worked up into a frenzy before the food has even arrived. Once dinner is served, he's usually celebrating with enthusiastic popcorns and enough excitement for the entire herd.

Mabel Hershey 💛
The Gentle Mumma Bear
Mabel will be turning 1 this year and shares a home with her daughter, Millie. The two girls had a very rough start to life after being rescued from living underneath a house in a tiny enclosure alongside five male piggies.
Because of this, it’s taken some time for Mabel and Millie to fully settle into life with their new family, but little by little their personalities have slowly started to shine through.
Mabel is an incredibly sweet and gentle mumma to her little girl and is happiest when the two of them are together. One of their favourite activities is sitting side-by-side chewing on their wooden rainbow tunnel like it’s their full-time job.
Although she’s still learning that the world can be a safe and cozy place, Mabel has started showing more of her soft affectionate nature as she settles into herd life and family life at home. She especially loves nuzzling up with her favourite hooman, and at dinner time you’ll often spot both her and Millie’s tiny noses and little teefs poking out while they wheek dramatically for more food.
Her favourite treat is kale, and she’s always very happy when snack time arrives 💛

Millie💛
Millicent Rose
The Tiny Fridge Detective
Millicent Rose is the baby of the herd and will be turning 1 this year. She shares a home with her mum, Mabel, and despite her shy nature, she has slowly been finding her confidence more and more with each passing day.
Millie had a difficult start to life after being born under a house, where she lived in a small enclosure with Mabel, her dad, and four brothers. Because of this, it took some time for her to learn that people could be trusted and that the world could be a safe and cozy place.
These days, however, her sweet little personality is beginning to shine.
Millie has a very important hobby: wheeking loudly for vegetables and then immediately running away to hide when they actually arrive. After her difficult start in life, she's still learning that good things can come to her without needing to be nervous first.
She also shares her mum's passion for cardboard renovations and can often be found helping Mabel redesign their cardboard houses or chewing away at their beloved wooden rainbow tunnel.
Despite being cautious around most people, Millie has a special bond with her favourite hooman. In fact, there is an ongoing custody battle between Mum and her daughter over who actually owns Millie, although Millie herself seems perfectly happy to keep everyone guessing. She even allows nose boops from her chosen human, a privilege granted to very few.
Millie is also completely obsessed with her water bottle. She will happily lie underneath it for ages, drinking away as though she's preparing for a marathon.
And somehow, despite being the youngest piggy in the family, she always knows the exact moment somebody goes anywhere near the fridge. One tiny sound is all it takes before excited wheeks can be heard from across the room.
Her favourite snack is kale, and these days she's confident enough to come right up to the side of the cage, proudly showing off her tiny lips and little teefs while requesting additional vegetables 💛

Daisy Mae 💛
The Little Comfort Pig
Daisy Mae is one of the newest members of the family and will be turning 2 this year. She shares a home with Eleanor and Penny and has quickly earned a reputation for being one of the sweetest, gentlest little piggies you could ever hope to meet.
Daisy, Eleanor and Penny came to us from a much-loved home. Their previous owner adored them but, due to an increasingly demanding schedule, made the difficult decision to surrender them to the refuge in the hope they would find another loving forever home.
We're incredibly grateful that home turned out to be ours.
Daisy has a wonderfully calm nature about her. While some piggies spend their time causing chaos, demanding snacks, or remodeling cardboard houses, Daisy is usually content to let the others handle the wheeking while she quietly enjoys life.
In fact, one of Daisy's favourite places in the world is perched on a shoulder during cuddle time. She loves to snuggle in close, settle down, and enjoy gentle pets while making her hooman feel just as relaxed and sleepy as she is.
Daisy is also a world-class pancaker. It doesn't really matter where she is, a blanket, a lap, a shoulder, or a cuddle session, if there's an opportunity to pancake, Daisy will take it.
When she's not cuddling, she can usually be found tucked away inside a cardboard house with her best friends, Eleanor and Penny, enjoying a cozy nap and some well-earned relaxation.
As one of the quieter girls of the herd, Daisy prefers to let others do the shouting while she focuses on the important things in life: naps, cuddles, friendship, and finding the comfiest spot available 💛

Eleanor Grace💛
The Beautiful Little Food Goblin
Eleanor is one of the newest members of the family and the undisputed boss of her little herd. She shares a home with Daisy and Penny and firmly believes that all food, snacks, vegetables, forage, and treats belong to her first.
If a hooman walks anywhere near the cage, Eleanor can usually be found standing up along the side demanding snacks immediately. She sees absolutely no reason why vegetables should be restricted to mealtimes and would happily accept food deliveries at any hour of the day.
Her love of food occasionally outweighs her sense of self-preservation. If there is a snack involved, Eleanor is willing to take risks that would make the rest of the herd question her decision-making skills.
At meal times, Eleanor is always first to the food bowl and rarely waits for Daisy and Penny to catch up before getting started. In fact, one of her favourite positions is lying completely pancaked inside the food bowl with her front half tipped up in the food and her back half sprawled dramatically across the floor.
Eleanor is wonderfully soft, delightfully squishy, and proudly embraces her status as a certified little chongus.
She also has some of the most beautiful eyes you'll ever see. Combined with her sweet face, she looks every bit like a perfect little angel. Unfortunately, appearances can be deceiving.
While she loves her friends, Eleanor can occasionally be a bit of a diva and isn't afraid to remind Daisy and Penny exactly who is in charge.
As for her favourite food? That's easy.

Penny Blossom💛
The Hoodie Snuggler
Penny Blossom is one of the newest members of the family and will be turning 2 this year. She shares a home with Daisy and Eleanor and is still settling into life with her new family, which means we're still discovering all the little quirks that make Penny, Penny.
Penny, Daisy and Eleanor came to us from a much-loved home. Their previous owner cared deeply for them but, faced with a demanding schedule, made the difficult decision to surrender them to the refuge so they could find another family to love them.
We're still getting to know Penny, but it's clear she arrived already knowing how to love and be loved.
Affectionately known as Penny Gig the Guinea Pig, Penny is a sweet little soul who loves spending time with her hoomans. Her absolute favourite place to be is tucked away inside a warm hoodie, safely snuggled up while the world carries on around her.
Like Daisy, Penny has a wonderfully gentle nature and enjoys the quieter side of life. She loves spending time with her friends, relaxing in their cardboard house, and finding the softest, warmest spots available.
While Eleanor is usually the first one demanding snacks, Penny is more than happy to join in once the wheeking starts. She may not be quite as food-obsessed as her bossy friend, but she's certainly not shy about lending her voice when vegetables are involved.
Between her sweet personality, love of cuddles, and talent for turning any hoodie into a piggy hideout, Penny has already found a very special place in our hearts 💛
